Full Pricing

Qenner has been making way to provide prices in the search process that reflect a trips actual costs. This means that not only should our search prices reflect the bookings price, but should also include the required costs that customers have to pay on location.

For this a few service changes are underway.

  • Book service
The packagePriceIndication, which can be used on various stages during your book process to display an indication of the customers final price, now also contains costs that are required to be made on location. This will most-likely concern the tourist taxes.
  • Search service
We have update our price information with a new object PriceInfo replacing the recently introduction set of AdditionalCosts (the latter being available as part of the PriceInfo)
The PriceInfo now describes all the elements already available in the base price, the individual additional costs that still apply and a new field ‘priceIncludingAdditionalCosts’, which you can use to replace the PricePerPerson without the need to calculate.

Tourist Tax

An important component missing previously was tourist tax. Even though payable on location, it does reflect a required cost.

Touroperator changes

Some touroperators are working to include tourist tax directly in their assortment. For those, the tourist tax will be included in the base price and available during the book process.

Unfortunately this is not possible for every tour operator on short term or at all.

Qenner supported rule-based Tourist Tax

For those touroperators who don’t support tourist tax directly, Qenner can add a business-rule based value on our side. When configured it will add tourist tax to the assortment via an ‘Extra’ automatically based on the various property indicators such as destination and type.

Note that these rules try to mimic actual pricing, but may not always 100% reflect the actual and current tax laws at any given location.

Please let Qenner at support@qenner.com if you are ready to have this function enabled.
